LPC design and manufacture a range of external band and base, or internal immersion heaters for drum applications.

External Types:
Externally clamped heaters can be manufactured to fit any size of drum and are manufactured either from metal clad mica or, for increased moisture protection, metal clad tubular elements. Stand-on base heaters can also be supplied, manufactured from steel or cast aluminium.

Internal Types:
The internal type heaters are of tubular construction and inserted through the bung of the drum heating the solution directly. The heated length runs the full depth of the drum and as a result all the solution gets heated directly avoiding the problems of heating solidified materials.

Both types of heater can be used for drying out the drums after washing.

Clamping:
External band units are fitted with quick release fasteners for ease of transfer from one drum to the next.

Terminations:
Terminations consist of either plug and socket for electrical connection or a fixed dust-proof terminal with glanded entry.

Temperature Control:
Internal units can be supplied with either a thermostat control or for more critical applications a thermocouple pocket for external instrumentation.
