Circulation/Outflow
Circulation & Outflow Heaters are special units designed and manufactured to heat liquids or gases which are flowing. These units are made up as a steel heating chamber having an electric immersion heater inserted with all the necessary inlet/ outlet connections, drain plug, valves, mounting brackets and controls.
Because the heaters are installed directly in the solution being heated, the heat transfer is excellent. To assist efficiency, baffles are positioned inside the chamber to ensure the solution has maximum contact with the heating elements.
Where high loads are required the units can be designed up to 12ft (3.65m) long by inserting the heaters from both ends. Alternatively the units may be connected in series and mounted ‘piggy back’. All units can be supplied with weatherproof lagging jackets for outside installations
Both circulations and outflow heaters can be constructed from mild steel or various grades of stainless steel depending upon the solution being heated. The elements are usually Incoloy but other materials are available where necessary.
The maximum operating temperature recommended is 700°C with working pressures up to 2000psi (140 bar).
Terminal enclosures can be IP rated and can be stood off when working temperatures are high. All units are wired to secondary terminals for ease of installation.
