High Temperature Air Heaters
High temperature Air Heaters are designed to operate at high temperatures up to 750°C. They are similar in construction to the low temperature units except the units would be manufactured in stainless steel and the terminal enclosure could be stood off the heater body for ventilation purposes.
Where required the Air Heater can be seam welded to prevent leakage of ducted air into the environment or terminal enclosure.
The elements used in all Air heaters are manufactured from high grade Incolloy 800 which provides high corrosion/ oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures. They are moisture resistant and are rated at densities to suit the particular application thus ensuring long life.
Where high temperature stab on Air Heaters are used a support plate is fitted to the elements and this should be fastened in the duct to prevent sagging.

Low Temperature Air Heaters:
Designed for applications where the working temperature does not exceed 300°C.They comprise of tubular elements sheathed in Incolloy – formed into hair pins or grids and mounted onto a steel plate flange by means of compression glands. The steel plate flange is then inserted onto a steel case, fitted with a terminal enclosure thus forming the basic Air Heater.
The heater is manufactured from mild steel with either a stove enamel or grey primer finish. All units are supplied with a safety cut out device and fully wired to secondary terminals.

For quiet operation we recommend the air speed should be between 500 and 1200 cfm. Where air speed is less the 500cfm the elements should be de-rated accordingly, ensuring the wiring is kept cool. In addition the safety cut out probe should always be at the top.

Stab in type air heaters:
Similar in basic design except the element plate and the terminal enclosure are mounted directly into the customers’ ductwork.
Individual elements are easily replaced as they are fitted to the plate flange by mechanical means.
Where necessary terminal enclosures may be dust proof to IP54
