Resistors   Torostats   Power Resistors   Wire Wound Resistors       Resistors The LPC Resistors range of Power Resistors are designed to cope with a myriad of situations and applications and can be supplied for a multitude of situations. Torostats, for example can be used as Rheostats or Potentiometers, suitable for the most arduous service and can be confidently specified whenever variable control of electrical energy by resistive means is required. They are conservatively rated for long life, toroidal windings are of high grade resistance wire and components are of a generous proportion for high current carrying capacity with negligible wear. Power Resistors are also supplied in a wide variety of styles and sizes with non-hygroscopic formers capable of withstanding severe thermal shock. Resistance wires and tapes are of Nickel-Chromium Alloy and windings are uniform throughout the length of the tube to prevent ‘hot spots’ on load.
